My name is Wondwossen Hailemariam. I was born and raised in the Ancient land of Ethiopia and when I was 15 I moved to the USA to live in the Midwest heartland region. I am the founder and owner of FaaHur LLC. My company has designed and created one of a kind stuffed animal plushies in the image of the Mysterious Sphinxes found throughout the world.

Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by the Sphinx statue and its majestic look. I remember as a child looking at a picture of the Sphinx of Giza located in Egypt in my school history book and asking my self what it was and why it was built. For the past 20 years I have researched, read and studied countless documentaries to find out why the Sphinx was built. I consumed information from many diverse sources without satisfaction until I found the unique mythology of the Sphinx statues from the people who claim to know the mystery in the ancient land of Ethiopia, East Africa.

Learn The Mythology

Teaching has always been my passion and in 2013, I had the honor to serve Saint Louis City as a long term substitute teacher at an elementary school that emphasized culture and moral values in its educational curriculum. Working for four years at that school gave me the opportunity to share my passion with students and parents about the Sphinx statues found around the world and the fascinating Ethiopian mythology that ties them all together. What inspired me to design and create FaaHur The Sphinx was witnessing the lack of resources and tools my fellow teachers had to do their jobs effortlessly in a fun and colorful way which would help children learn the basics of International World history.

It is my sincere desire that parents and teachers would find FaaHur The Sphinx as a practical teaching tool. I would like them to enjoy using it in their classrooms and homes to inspire and help increase their student's and children's constructive thoughts. FaaHur The Sphinx is not only a global multicultural resource, but also a tool to build and develop the character of young students and children.
